A minivan doing LESS THAN HALF the LIMIT on Deerfoot trail with MATTRESSES on the roof of the van, not properly secured. The WORST part of this? Before coming up to see this guy, we saw a cop pulling a guy over for speeding on an OFFRAMP. The offramp was then bottlenecked to hell and back on Deerfoot trail. I am all for giving excessive speeders tickets, but in this instance, clearly a guy driving nearly 40 on a road with a limit of 100, with mattresses stacked onto the ROOF of his van is much more of a hazard than a Mazda 3 speeding on the off ramp (unless he some how was able to get that thing going as fast as a low flying plane). Just imagine if one, or all of those mattresses came lose and hit the windshield of a compact car going 100 or 110. Or imagine if someone hit an exit doing 100 and attempted to merge into the path of this van. A horrible recipe for true disaster. 3 on the rage meter, next time secure your load properly and please take alternate roads where you and others safety is not at risk.
