I love your user name, and I agree about this asshole in the CRV. What a cock.
Ah, the "dangerous at any speed" asshole, I have seen many of them driving 15 km in a 60 zone, reading a map!
I see this all the time, the small brains rushing to the red light, too important and high on their own ego to think straight.
This driver should be reported to the police for dangerous driving and road rage. You are fortunate you were not hurt.
3 words. Best. Rage. Ever.
I think there's a warning about this on the back. CAUTION. This Vehicle Makes (I can't make this out) Lane Changes.
I just wanted to say how much I have appreciated you and solo2 being members of this site, and making regular contributions.
If more users were active, there would be more than just a few of us dominating the site. Take a look at the posts, you aren't seeing people raging because someone's "tail light was out". In addition, spamming is in regards to advertising, what you are insinuating is flooding and once again, it is not flooding if the majority of users are inactive. Further this is not a message board, so discussion is not seemingly the intent. Finally, I really haven't seen the old flame wars around for some time. Users seem pretty well behaved and respectful of one another. As far as I see, the overall site works well, much better than similar siters I have seen.
Holy hell, this is how people get killed. Luckily you were defensive enough behind the wheel to keep from from being rammed by this twit. Good on you for keeping your attention where it belonged, unlike the driver of the Honda.
This sounds like a normal asshole I see all the time. The best I ever saw was when I stopped for a drink and a tank top up at the 7-11 on Country Hills Blvd by the Sarcee interchange, the cops had been pulling cars over for speeding. I know people say cops need to catch REAL dangerous people and leave poor speeders alone, but as I spoke to one officer, he showed me one car that was nearing 150 km/h in a 50 zone, his rewards? A car on a tow hook and a fine to be set by a JUDGE.
Sadly this is nothing, I have seen drivers in residential drivers pass others by driving partially on the SIDEWALK to get around them in school/playground zones. They must just not see the big yellow signs, likely they won't see the kids either. Pretty sad, if you ask me.
I've long been the voice that says there is no "fast lane" on Deerfoot, as the speed limit is the same in all lanes. That said, as I mentioned before, all vehicles incapable of traveling the speed limit need to indeed move to the right and slow moving vehicles are actually not allowed on Deerfoot (where I am told the minumum speed limit is a shocking 60 km/h!), which includes scooters and people too scared to drive appropriately. In winter conditions, nobody would condone speeding as it becomes even more reckless but I think driving in the grip of fear can be just as dangerous to everyone involved. I would say what you found here is someone too scared to drive in winter and someone who would be much more relaxed and safe in a taxi or on public transit, until their driving skills are to the level that winter driving does not become such a risk. Wishing you a holiday on the safe side of these drivers who seem to be hell bent on becoming a risk to everyone involved.
I see this all the time, good on you for reacting defensively.
The guy in the SUV needs a pill, after he has his bottle, and a diaper change. I'd love to share the road with you and your co worker, not so much these overgrown infants in cars and trucks. People think flashing high beams means "let me by" but it really means "I have a dirty diaper that needs changing". Imagine if this guy has children, they are likely more mature as toddlers than he is driving down Memorial.
A friend of mine would say to feel sorry for this guy, that he's probably in a hurry to get his RAM to a service bay before the entire thing falls apart. Dodge dealers, where you buy Dodge trucks but more importantly where you buy Dodge truck PARTS. :-P But yes, there are far too many "me first" types like this out there.I know this is going to sound awful, but I remember when I first visited Calgary during the Olympics in '88 and I said how friendly a city it was. I shudder to think what visitors think of it now.
Exactly, thank you! One wonders if windshield insurance will become something we ALL get thanks to these idiots.
Well said, if not, Johnny Law has lots of "treats" to hand out!
I'm sorry but this made me laugh. I could imagine this guy having a stroke because the video he wanted to rent was all out, or getting the wrong toppings on his pizza. Some day he'll run in the the backside of an 18 wheeler.
I'm certainly glad to see more users on the site, I love to know I'm not alone in shaking my head at the things I see.
WELL SAID, often the worst drivers are the ones who get so angry when they feel slighted in traffic.
